Gottman-Rapoport Intervention

This conversational tool is designed to help you discuss a topic in a manner where you and your spouse both feel understood by each other. This method emphasizes the roles of Speaker & Listener.

Here is a separate link to The Gottman Institute - a wealth of resources and information for couples addressing varying needs.

The Four Horsemen

The Four Horsemen Handout, designed by The Gottman Institute, addresses the four ways we get in the way or resolving conflict (or contribute towards creating more conflict).

According to Gottman, “being able to identify the Four Horsemen in your conflict discussions is a necessary first step to eliminating them and replacing them with healthy, productive communication patterns.

“A Marriage That Thrives”
